We love sharing our learnings and experiences with others. It’s a way for you to grow as a person and speed up your career. And it’s a way for us to show the world who we are. Maybe others even like us so much they’d like to work with us. So we encourage you to organise or present at a meetup (or conference or other event).
If you want to organise or present, we’ll try to help you out the best we can with:
Finally, if you give a presentation at a meetup or organise a meetup we will give you an extra day off. You can save up to 5 days a year of extra holidays. Each presentation you give and each meetup you organise equals a full day off.
The small print:
You'll get a full day off for every presentation you give at a meetup or meetup you organise until December 31st of each year. You can receive up to 5 extra days per year. We’ll evaluate and decide per year if we’ll continue this bonus.
What remains the same, in case of a full-time employment, is that you can take up to a maximum of 5 days offs with you to the next year. If you have extra meetup-bonus-days saved up, those will be deducted from the number of days you can buy at the start of the new year. So if you take 2 meetup-bonus-days with you to the next year, you can only buy up to 3 more, depending on your employment (as per our handbook). However you can take both up to 5 regular days + up to 3 meetup-bonus-days with you to the next year. Meaning you could in theory start with 33 days off (25 at the start + 5 + 3).
If the small print is confusing to you, we're happy to answer them on a personal level as that's a much easier scenario to explain 😃.
